Ode to Boredom Flowers

(one, two, three,
four, five
one, two, three, four, five)
Your presence is enough
to take
my mind off of the
subject at hand.
(one, two)
You crawl slowly (three,) over
every available square, white inch, (four,)
multiplying, reaching with (five) a fruitless ambition.

We have not (one, two, three) yet conquered
(four,)
a sheet of (five) college ruled notebook
(one, two, three, four, five) paper,
but, (one, two) undaunted, we
begin,
(three)
begin,
(four)
begin
(five, one, two)
the aimless task. (three, four, five, six, onetwothree)
